Terms & Conditions
1. Pricing: Pricing may change without notice. Quoted prices remain valid for 7 days.
2. Contractual Agreement: This quote is binding upon acceptance.
3. HOA/Condo Associations: Homeowners must inform Cousins Mechanical Inc. of any HOA or Condo Association that requires approval for work.
4. Structural Limitations: The quote doesn't account for unexpected structural issues, e.g., drywall or piping damage, that might arise during installation.
5. Pest Removal: Additional charges apply if pests, including birds or nests in flues, are discovered and need removal during the service.
6. Acceptance: By signing, you accept the price, specifications, and conditions, authorizing Cousins Mechanical Inc. to commence work and agreeing to the stated payment terms. Diagnosis can reveal further necessary repairs.
7. Late Payment: Unpaid balances will accrue 1% monthly interest if not paid within 5 days of job completion. Legal actions for unpaid balances will result in the debtor paying attorney fees of $600 plus all associated legal costs. Legal disputes will be settled in the district court for Prince Georges County, MD.
8. Work Quality: All materials will meet the specified standards. Any deviations from the initial specifications may result in extra charges.
9. External Delays: Cousins Mechanical Inc. is not responsible for delays caused by strikes, accidents, or other uncontrollable events.
10. Area Preparation: Clear a 10-foot area around the workspace. Cousins Mechanical Inc. is not liable for damages to items within this space and won't assist in moving items unless explicitly mentioned in the quote.
11. Installation: While care is taken during installation, minor cosmetic damages might occur. Any significant damages should be reported before job completion for verification.
12. Warranty: HVAC Equipment warranty registration online is the homeowner's responsibility. Exclusions apply, such as refrigerant unless mentioned otherwise. Warranty approvals and associated costs are subject to manufacturer terms.
13. Payment: Specific payment policies apply based on the nature of the job. Timely payments are critical, with delays potentially voiding warranties or
resulting in rescheduling.
14. Cancellation: Canceling orders after parts have been ordered incurs a 20% restocking and processing fee.
15. Warranty Limitations: Only the manufacturers' or suppliers' written warranties cover parts and equipment. Labor by Cousins Mechanical Inc. is warranted for 30 days, excluding refrigerant. Homeowners should directly register product warranties.
16. Property Damage Disclaimer: Cousins Mechanical Inc. isn’t responsible for recurring property damages linked to routine maintenance issues. Such repairs may incur service fees or voided warranties.
17. Repair of Damage: Any damage claims must be presented to Cousins Mechanical Inc. first. All repairs will be conducted by our licensed contractors.
No outside contractor costs will be covered.
18. Refunds: Refunds aren't provided for completed work. Refund processing might take 2-7 business days.
